The traveling Christmas gift guide for kids
Do you have some tiny travelers in your entourage? Are you trying to get your kids to be as passionate as you about travel? These gifts are sure to awake a passion for travel! They will also be able to learn so much about this beautiful world we live in by playing with travel-themed toys. Most of them are also great to bring along with you on your travels. Make sure to read this traveling Christmas gift guide for kids to inspire them to travel!
World map
Since I can remember, I’ve always loved looking at a map. Nowadays, there are so many beautiful maps out there, way more beautiful than the paper ones we used to have! Why not offer them a kid’s world map to stick to the wall of their bedroom. That way they can learn all about the world and have fun looking at it. You could also add some pictures of where you’ve been for them to remember all those great memories.
Atlas
If you don’t have the space for a wall map, a kid’s atlas is great. They can spend many hours just flipping through the pages to learn all about our planet. Going on a trip, they can carry it with them to keep on learning as you go!
Personalized travel scrapbook
I used to do a scrapbook every time I came back from a trip but with a bigger family now, it is more difficult to find the time to make one. I’ve started making books from each trip we take using an internet site to make one. The last time I made one, I used Shutterfly. It’s a great souvenir to make a personalized one for them and they will appreciate it even more if the pages reflect the trip from their point of view and with all the pictures either they have taken themselves or the pictures they are on.
Travel activity set
Make sure to read my Family road trip survival guide for plenty of printables and cool games for the kids who travel. You can make them a beautiful travel kit for your next adventure!
Airplane art kit
Prepare them a cool coloring kit for their next flight. My son loves to draw and lately, he’s had a couple of stencils and he can draw for hours using them! This is a great idea to keep them entertained for a while on your next trip. You can find this kit on amazon. You can always add a bunch of stickers to it and there you go! They will have plenty of fun, while coloring!
Tic Tac Toe game set
Who doesn’t love a good tic tac toe game? This small travel-size pouch is great for travel. It fits in your carry-on or even your small purse! Waiting to take the plane, on the plane, waiting for your table to be ready at the restaurant, no problem! This small tic tac toe game is amazing to bring along with you to keep the kids and yourself entertained when you need it! Feeling a little creative and crafty? You can even make it yourself!
Small lego tray for travel
If your kid loves to play with lego’s, it can be hard to set up a surface to play with them, especially while traveling. This nice little tray allows them to have a flat surface to build a little something while still being compact to fit in their bag while traveling.
Kids luggage tags
Etsy has a wide variety of travel tags to make your kid happy. You can even personalize them by adding their name to it! They are sure to love their new tags hanging on their suitcase on their next trip!
Magnetic travel puzzles
If your kids love puzzles this is a great option to bring on your travels. Chances of losing pieces are slimmer as the pieces are magnetic.
Mountain shelf
Add a little bit of the mountains to their bedroom decorations. It will remind them of those great hikes you took or that one time you went skiing altogether!
I hope these ideas have helped you plan out the gift you will be gifting to those little travelers around you!
