The traveling Christmas gift guide for him
Now that you’ve figured out what gift to offer her for Christmas, what about him? You know, that guy always looking for adventures and wants to see the world, who can’t stop talking about traveling even during this pandemic! Here is a traveling Christmas gift guide for him to give you ideas for that traveler in your life.
Guys tend to be less organized when it comes to packing, at least my boyfriend is like that! These ideas will help him be organized in his bags, stay charged throughout his trips but also make him take care of himself a little more.
You’ll definitely find items for her on his gift ideas as well as they are great for every traveler out there!
Packing Cubes
I know I’ve told you all about them in my gift guide for her but I really think these are a must for everyone! Being organized in your bag makes it so much easier to find what you are looking for! On our road trip to Scotland in the RV, we had plenty of space to put our clothes but my boyfriend just unpacked everything a threw it all over in the cupboards, which is great, but he ended up taking everything out every single day just to find the piece he was looking for! It’s nice to be able to find your stuff quickly by being organized.
Pack Towl
They are amazing and barely take any space in the bag! Definitely, something he will love to carry around whether to shower, use as a beach towel, or even a picnic blanket, it’s great and dry’s quickly. He’ll be able to pack it back in his bags before leaving the hostel in the morning.
Travel journal
You can find beautiful but simple-looking travel journals for that guy who likes to write about his adventures on paper but doesn’t like flashy journals. You’ll find great options he’ll love on amazon!
Small multitool
I personally have a Gerber and I use it all the time! When I’m out camping or if I have a loose piece on my camera… They have many uses and are definitely worth carrying around in his bag! Instead of carrying all of those items with him, he can have a small multitool and make space for other stuff he needs on the trip.
Beard comb
Guys tend to not take as much care of themselves as a girl. If they are the beard kind of guy, why not offer them a small beard comb for their travels? It’s not much but it’s a little something to take care of themselves on the road. My boyfriend ordered the Manejack kit on amazon and he can’t get enough of it!
Portable power bank
This is so useful! Not only is it good for charging up while traveling, but he can also use it while he’s at work and his phone is out of charge, he can use it while out camping without any electricity, whenever he needs to charge, it’s great to have a power bank close by. I personally recommend Anker and they are compatible with multiple phones as well.
Yeti rambler
This product is amazing. they are super tough so they will basically withstand almost anything. It’s going to keep his beverages cold or warm. They are great for this grand adventurer in your life. He’ll be able to use it everywhere he goes whether it’s on a hike, spending the day on the water, or simply sipping a good coffee around the campfire.
Compression socks
It might sound weird to buy some compression socks for a guy. However, these are so good for blood circulation. When being immobile for a long period of time, blood flow in the lower legs decreases which will increase pressure in the veins, and legs will begin to swell. These are great for him especially on long flights around the world where he isn’t able to move much while flying.
Lifestraw water filter
This product is great for outdoor activities, camping, and any other activities you are going to drink water. Lifestraw can actually be used to drink water from anywhere. The pores inside the straw are less than 0,2 microns. This means all the dirt, bacteria, parasites, and more will get trapped inside the fiber and allow only the clean water to pass.
While he is traveling, instead of buying plastic bottles all the time for clean water, this is a great alternative to using less plastic and have a smaller impact on the planet whilst traveling. There are plenty of options available. From the straw to water bottles and even pitchers, you’re sure to find something that suits his needs.
Toiletry bag
Until I bought one for my boyfriend, he thought it was unnecessary and just threw all his stuff inside his suitcase. While it was a mess trying to find his toiletries after that, he just kept doing it. One Christmas, I decided to give him a toiletry bag. Since, he’s been using it all the time, even on weekend trips. I think this is a must for them but also something they will never go and buy themselves!
Bonus idea: gifting experiences
I’ve always struggled to find some great ideas for gifts for my boyfriend. He is the type who doesn’t need anything and when he does, he just goes and buys it. So it gets kind of hard to gift something cool when he already has everything. So I started giving him experiences.
We’ve stayed in a treehouse, we’ve been to the spa on many occasions, this summer, we went camping on a platform where we saw beluga whales every day. And this year, I offered him a 2-night stay in a dome with a jacuzzi (no spoilers here for him, it was his birthday gift, not his Christmas gift!). It’s a nice way to offer something meaningful and to be able to spend some quality time together too.
I hope these ideas will help you on your quest to find the greatest gift for that traveler in your family or friends!
