General travel FAQs
Where do I begin when planning a road trip?
My process has always been pretty simple. I pick out a couple of destinations that are on top of my road trip bucket list, I look at how much time I have to go on the trip, and look at my overall budget. The destination that I choose, will keep these aspects in mind. I really like to enjoy my time there and I don’t want to rush either. Driving around a destination leaves you plenty of opportunities to stop anywhere! So you don’t want to be speeding across the country because you don’t have enough time.

What apps do you use for road trips?
There are multiple great apps out there to help you out! I like using iOverlander to browse campsites, water stations, wild camping spots, sanitation dumping stations, and much more.
GasBuddy is great too! It helps you find gas prices for the stations around you!

What flight-tracking app do you use?
At the moment, I am using flight view. It has been great and pretty accurate over my flight attendant years so I still use it today.
What should I prepare before a trip?
There are a few things to make sure to check before any trips. Do you need a visa for the destination you are traveling to, does your passport need a certain validity date, do you have your travel insurance, etc? Especially if you are driving, make sure to check if you need an international driver’s license.

How do you prepare for long-haul flights?
I’ve always had my routine as a flight attendant for red-eye flights and long-haul flights. But as a traveler, I don’t really prepare. I make sure to have all my stuff ready in my backpack so when I need to use something I don’t have to go in the overhead bin all the time. On red-eye flights especially, I try to get as much rest on the flight as possible to power through the next day.
What travel credit card would you recommend?
There are so many credit cards out there with great perks that it can be hard to choose which one is the best for you. At the moment, I am using the RBC Avion. It has been great and easy to use my points for travel.
